TCT Federal Credit Union (TCT) is firmly committed to maintaining the privacy of our members and the confidentiality of their personal and financial information. We recognize your right to privacy and, in turn, accept the responsibility to keep the information you provide to us confidential.
As an extension of our long-standing commitment to keeping the information you share with us secure, we pledge that all such information will be confidentially maintained to the best of our abilities. At no time will TCT furnish names, addresses, email addresses, or any other private information about our members for the benefit of a third party.

TCT strictly limits the confidential member information we disclose and the entities to which we provide that information. TCT restricts internal access to confidential member information to only those employees who need such access to assist members or conduct TCT business. Each staff member must read and sign a privacy and confidentiality policy concerning his/her responsibilities in safeguarding member information.
TCT does not share or sell any member information to any non-affiliated third party, other than those with which we contract to assist us in conducting credit union, and as may be required or permitted by law; generally members may not opt out of that type of information sharing.
What You Need to Know About Electronic and Web Privacy
TCT treats all information you provide to us in electronic form with the same confidentiality as that provided in person, whether you use our Automated Phone Teller, ATM network, or internet banking services.
Linked Sites - Should you use tctfcu.org or TCT’s Mobile and Online Banking to link to another site outside of TCT's control, such as a retail store, news source, or other site, you should be aware that any information you provide may be collected and used by the particular site you visit. In order to ensure the confidentiality of information you may provide on other sites, we suggest that you review each site's privacy policy before proceeding.
Cookies - Cookies are small pieces of data that attach to your device to help us recognize your browser and track your session within our site. While you can configure your device to keep it from accepting these cookies, we suggest that you keep this function enabled so that we can better customize the information you receive from us. If you choose to register on tctfcu.com to take advantage of any optional services via our website, cookies may be used to help us identify items of interest to you and allow us to notify you of special events, products, and services that match your interests.
Cookies and TCT Mobile and Online Banking - When you enter your username and password, your online banking session is tracked by the use of cookies until you exit TCT Mobile and Online Banking. All cookies related to your online banking transaction are returned to the server and do not stay resident on your device. That means that once you end your connection to TCT’s Mobile and Online Banking, the cookies are removed from your device.
Cookies and TCT Online Banking – Registering Your Device - When you add extra security by registering your device, a secure cookie, which is separate and distinct from the cookies previously described, will be placed on your device. This cookie is only used by TCT to recognize you and your specific device as an authorized user; it does not contain any personal information.
Security and Electronic Access - Because we know that you value the confidentiality of your personal and financial information, TCT and its service providers use security software that encrypts the information you send us. When you use TCT Mobile and Online Banking, only information required to log in will be requested. In order to conduct business via TCT Mobile and Online Banking, you must access your accounts with a password. Since this number is a critical security component, it is essential that you protect your password from unauthorized use. It is also advisable to log off of TCT Mobile and Online Banking as soon as you complete your transactions to avoid unauthorized access to your account. Should you forget to log off of Mobile and Online Banking, our system is designed to automatically end your session as an added protection for you.
When contacting TCT via email, it is important to note that only the secure email available via TCT Mobile and Online Banking is encrypted. To protect your privacy, it is important that you not include any confidential information sent via standard email channels (such as contact with us via itsgreattocu@tctfcu.org.
Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It - We collect different types of information from and about users of our Online Services, including:
- Personally Identifiable Information: We may collect data about you by which you may be personally identified, including, but not limited to, name, telephone number, email address, mailing address, account numbers, location information (see below), username and password, or other similar information that can be used to identify you. We may also collect payment card information, driver’s license numbers, account balances, social security numbers, payment history, credit history, and credit scores when you provide such information while using our Online Services and where we believe it is reasonably required for ordinary business purposes;
- Usage Data: Data may be collected from you automatically when you access our Apps about how you access and use our Apps (“Usage Data”). Usage Data may include information such as your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device, browser version, the pages of you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, other product interaction tracking, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. When you use our mobile application, we may collect additional information such as unique device identifiers for your mobile device, device settings, information about your location, and analytical information about how you use your mobile device.
- Aggregate Data: We may collect data that is about you but individually does not identify you, such as statistical information and analytic data relating to online usage.
- Location Information: We may periodically collect, transmit, and use geolocation information for enabling features such as, but not limited to, card use and alerts to prevent fraudulent activities, but only if you expressly authorize collection of such information. Geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background only while the feature(s) are being used or not at all, depending on your selection. You can change your location permissions at any time in your device settings.
Use of Biometric Information - Depending on your device, TCT’s Mobile Banking may be accessed using biometric information, such as fingerprint or facial recognition, to help identify you, verify your identity, and protect your accounts from fraud or unauthorized access.
When biometric information is used:
- It is collected and used only for identification, security, and fraud-prevention purposes.
- Participation in biometric-based services is voluntary, and alternative authentication methods are available.
- Biometric information is not sold, used for marketing, or shared except as necessary to provide the service or as permitted by law.
- Biometric information is protected using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
- Biometric information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill its intended purpose and is securely destroyed in accordance with applicable laws and retention requirements.
Biometric services may be provided directly by TCT or through trusted service providers acting on TCT’s behalf.
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act Statement - TCT's online financial services are not designed for or directed toward children. TCT does not knowingly solicit or collect any data from children under 13 years of age online without express parental consent or notification. We recognize that protecting children's identities and online privacy is important and that responsibility rests with us and with parents and/or guardians. Please be cautious when providing any personal information about children under 13 years of age online.
KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION CURRENT – In order to be certain that you receive all necessary information concerning your accounts, it is important for you to notify us if any of your personal data has changed. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics website offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Online Services. This data is shared with other Google Websites. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit the App, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google.
You can opt-out of having your activity on the Online Services made available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visit activity.
